This Yuletide Season Theatre J’Nerique and the All Too Real Plays brings a special holiday treat for the entire family. Bundle Of Wishes sets Hans Christian Anderson’s story of The Little Match Girl in Fresno past and present. This gentle tale of courage, hope and compassion follows the events in the life of Alexandria, the little match girl, on New Years Eve 1912. A must-see for anyone who has ever wished on a dream. 

            "Bundle... has been and will probably be one of my more personal pieces. Ironically, when I was first commissioned to adapt it for the stage... I did so because I hated the original story --- basically, the plot was about a little girl hallucinating in the dead of winter and dying. What was that about? But while I set out retooling, restructuring and re-inventing it as a theatrical piece... something emerged in the work that I could not then explain. After these many years I can only suggest that perhaps its a voice that we all collectively know. One that was present from the beginning of our existence... a voice that over time and experience we have chosen to forget, ignore or suppress for a variety of reasons ... one that perhaps we all need to be reminded of and be reacquainted with. I know I do."

Rudolf: The Day After brings to stage the wacky adventures of Rudolf after the great ride with Santa. In this short play you will meet Rudolf’s other misfit friends from the North Pole like Sheila, the activity director mutant elf and Vern, a second string reindeer. A rollicking, fun romp for everyone!

            "Rudolf... is pure fun... and one of my more successful short plays. In just the past 2 years it has seen about 18 different productions from schools to churches to non-profit theatre companies all over the United States and Canada. I must also attribute its development to my partners in crime at the time --- Heather Capps, Ron Statler and the amazing John Masier who all played a major role in defining these characters in the original production."

 Both plays will perform at 8 PM on Fridays & Saturdays December 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22 & 23 and a 2 PM Matinee, December 9, & 16. Tickets are $10 for general admission, $7 for students and seniors. Advance tickets can be purchased at the Tower Theater box-office, 485-9050.
