hmm... well....the play opens with a dead guy named Jim who awakens to find God’s accountant, Gabe, summing up his life on the living room sofa. Jim is then given an hour to find out how he died … or spend the next 50 years trapped in the earthbound nether dimension that looks a lot like his house. Suddenly, other dead residents appear … and none of them are wearing pants!

They include:

ROLAND, a nerdy stockbroker from the 1920’s; (no pants)

JOEY, a benevolent “wiseguy” assissin from the 1960’s; (no pants)

SKY, a “love-child” student from the 1990’s (no pants)

and...REGINA, a Victorian high society dowager from the early 1900’s who is in denial of her own death. (pants under her skirt... we think)

Added to the mix is Jim’s wife JEN, the only “live” character, who has yet to discover the body behind the couch. (pants? uh... we're not sure )

Will Jim find the answer he needs to move on into the “light”? Why do your pants disappear when you are dead?? How does a secret from Regina’s past influence Jim’s living wife??? How can a hitman fulfill 3 contracts at his own funeral???? Is sex actually 9 times better in the afterlife????? Why are the question marks multiplying at the end of these questions?????? These and other burning questions may just be answered in... THE DEAD GUY SHOW.

Roland : And how did you meet your demise, Jim?

Jim : I figure it was a mob hit.

ROLAND: A mob hit? How exciting!

JIM: Exciting? I never thought about it that way. How did you die?

ROLAND: Oh it wasn’t half as exciting as what happened to you. For me it was the crash of 29. I was a stockbroker on Wall Street.

JIM: You were one of those who went out a window? That’s sort of exciting.

ROLAND: Actually, I had no intention of ending my life. I was on my way home and someone fell on me. Very inconvenient… very messy… not very exciting.
