DEATH, THE DEVIL, UNREGISTERED
GUN
is a debut by Paul McCauley. The plot involves a
strange young man named Ray who makes an unusual deal with the Devil. This
deal promises to reward young Ray with the object of his desire if only he
would eliminate Death.
However this Faustian premise takes on several twists and turns to
quirky comedic effect. When asked about his decision to have the play
produced, McCauley said…
“It was something I was working on for the
past 3 years. It had a reading and I thought it was time to let it go into
full production. There are some elements in Greek mythology that
influenced me to write the piece… but ultimately it really is the story of
a guy and his pillow.”
